Worse Case Disaster Scenario (Hypothetical)

Agent Ying of The People’s Liberation Front has been a legal law
abiding registered alien for eighteen years. His successful pawn shop
in midtown has been thriving, and for the most part, his life has
centered around his family and business.

Worse Case Disaster Scenario (Hypothetical) Symbol10

One single phrase spoken across telephone lines changes the sequence
of events in Ying’s happy life.
“The Drag Must Breath” came the muffled voice, and the phone receiver
went dead.

Within one hour Ying was on his way to the local football game, his
beat up Toyota Celica blending in with other sports fan as they
hurried into the large sport complex gates. And like other sportsman,
he carried with him a single backpack.

Security was heavy, and it took 1-1/2 hours to get through the
checkpoints. The middle age guard carefully examined the liter of soda-
pop, and promptly confiscated it—telling Ying that refreshments cannot
be brought into the game.

In a few short seconds Ying was headed to the field level seat, and
settled comfortably down to enjoy the pre-game festivities, the
pretty cheerleaders, brass bands, and antics of the other sports fan
as they found their seats.

At exactly 13:34 PM, as the first quarter was almost finished, an
explosive detonation ripped through the lower level seats. Twenty six
people close to the blast were immediately killed, and another 64
wounded by flying nail shrapnel. The deadly daypack carried in by Ying
had exploded. It’s sides and bottom packed with 1-1/2 pounds of
Composition C-4, and small finish nails sewn into the lining of the
small daypack.

Ying, hurried away from the panicked crowd as they shoved and pushed
their way towards the exits. Sirens blared as racing emergency
personnel responded to the first attack since 911.

Sixteen minutes after the first bomb exploded, another backpack bomb
rips through the fleeing crowds on the opposite side of the stadium.
84 Americans lose their lives, and dozens more are sent slumping to
the floor with massive blood wounds.

Within minutes the huge mega-stadium is nearly empty, except for the
truckloads of arriving journalist, law enforcement, and first
responders.

Eight hours later the hospitals are quickly overburdened as sick
people literally fall into the emergency room doors. Their symptoms
range from flu-like aliments, to severe respiratory ailments; others
are bleeding from their eyes, noses, and other body orifices.

Within hours all of the city hospitals are thunderstruck as thousands
of similar cases flood into emergency centers, quick medical centers,
and private doctor offices—all sharing the same symptomatic episodes
of advance bubonic plague. The Center For Disease Control quickly
springs into action. They quickly isolate the plague strains, and to
their horror learn that it’s molecular level has been tampered with.

Inside of the plague, a sub-carrier refuses to be killed with all
known antibiotics. Even heat and cold have no effect on the new Black
Plague.

Forensic investigation reveals that the backpack detonated by Ying
contained approximately 2 pounds of plague powder. Everyone within the
immediate downrange blast zone breathed in the deadly toxic dust. They
carried the powder home to their families—and in turn their family
members spread the powdered virus among their coworkers, schools,
grocery stores, and everyone that they had come into contact with.

First responders, medical personnel, law enforcement officers, and
investigators received a prolonged exposure to this deadly viral
agent. Within 48 hours the city, and surrounding areas are 90% exposed
to a deadly toxin that spreads quickly from one person to another by
inhalation and contact.

Soon, other cities in the state, as well as adjoining states reported
the viral strain working its way through their population centers.
Worldwide, the virus hopped across borders first taking down the
elderly and sick, then the young—and eventually spread its contagion
across most of western Europe.

Within a few short weeks, America is under siege by a deadly pandemic
that has quickly spread from sea to shining sea.

Examine the above scenario, and determine the immediate effects upon
society, local population centers, and your potential responses to a
situation as outlined above.

You are a member of a patriot group, and several have already been
exposed to the contagion.
You mother-in-law is presentlky in the hospital, and others in your
family have already been exposed to the contagion.

HINT: Essential services are already overwhelmed, businesses are
forced to close their doors, national guardsmen patrol the streets in
full protection gear, reports of widespread looting fill the one
remaining radio station operating. Martial law has been declared by
the governor.

Now What?

We live in a rural area with limited access, the property is fenced, gated and obscured from view, we have external security monitors, an adequate supply of food, water, medical supplies, communications, 4x4's, fuel and ammo. We have the capacity for generating electricity, have some solar and oil lighting and use wood for heat. We have a seed stash and green house. We also have alternative mobile living accomedations in case we need to get mobile. I have explored various retreat options and am familiar with much of the surounding back roads and water supplies. We have gas masks w/extra filters, also surgical masks, (still need tyvek suits).
When this outbreak first started getting out of control I would have notified my family and friends to take appropriate precautions. I would set up a make shift decon area. Since my family is spread across the country, I would try to retrieve my local children and gran children, pray for the others. If conditions warrant retrive other family and friends. Exact actions and details would have to be fluid and adaptable as conditins warrant. Basically go on lock down.
