I doubt if the citizens are capable of choosing a president like George Washington. First of all we are so used to people telling us what to do through commercials and unions and police and judges that we don't even know where to begin to think for ourselves. Washington was an honest, humble man who only wanted to run his plantation peacefully until he died. He did not seek anything. He did not go on a book tour. He did not compromise to a political party to get funding. He did not appear on talk shows. Could the people here now find someone like that? No. A man like Washington would be swept under the rug. People aren't looking for a Washington because they don't know what a good man is any more. Now days if you try to be a good man you are used and abused. You are taken for a sucker by nearly everyone you deal with. You are given the short end of the stick because being a good man people do not fear you taking revenge if they wrong you. So, if George Washington was around today people would most likely ignore him. The few people he dealt with would praise him once or twice a year as being a good guy to deal with and that would be the end of it. What needs to be done is for people to wake up and realize that it will take a good and God fearing man to turn the nation around. Someone who would rather die than sell out. Someone who knows that once he stands up for the USA and the Constitution and the People he will have a target on his back but doesn't care because that is the right thing to do. Start looking.
