PostSubject: Note for my Friends   Note for my Friends EmptyMon Aug 06, 2012 1:08 pm

Online I've met people, both men and women, who seem to be intelligent, articulate, concerned about the future of their family. I am proud to have you as my friends.

I know that I really freak out a bunch of people with all my talk about the militia, arming ourselves, and war... there are still many people in America that believe we can peacefully turn this around; the reality though is without force we won't.

Thomas Jefferson, our third President, principle author of the Declaration of Independence and consummate diplomat wrote about the American Revolution:

Quote :
"God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty....

And what country can preserve its liberties, if its rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure."

Our first President under the Constitution, first Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces of the United States under the Articles of Confederation, and President of the Constitutional Convention of 1787 stated:

Quote :
"If we desire to avoid insult, we must be able to repel it; if we desire to secure peace, one of the most powerful instruments of our rising prosperity, it must be known, that we are at all times ready for War." -- George Washington

Patrick Henry... radical patriot and lover of American liberty... a pastor wrote in a speech on June 5, 1788:

Quote :
"Guard with jealous attention the public liberty. Suspect every one who approaches that jewel. Unfortunately, nothing will preserve it but downright force. Whenever you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined."

There is one overriding passion that will never be extinguish until I breathe my last and that is my love for America... the America our founders envisioned for their future generations. It is truly a beautiful place that eclipses any utopia created in the socialist mind... because it allows the spark of genius God planted in each of us to burn bright, whether you believe in God or not.

Government, released from the limitations of the Constitution, is destroying that vision... encouraging ignorance in our people, the knowledge of God, our Rights granted by Him including our natural right of defense against government encroachment, is being scrubbed from our minds. Every succeeding generation for the last 120 years has known less of what it means to be an American than the last.

The history that has been taught has been watered down, our revolutionary beginnings ignored or obfuscated, replaced with the issue of slavery or women's suffrage; blaming our founders for all the ills of the past; ignoring American accomplishments while highlighting our shortcomings and mistakes.

When our churches allowed the government to take over the education of our children we made a terrible mistake; handing the future of our liberty to those who benefit from its destruction. We must take responsibility back... force government back to the Constitution and retake our liberty and that is not going to be accomplished peacefully no matter how much we wish it so.

The question Americans must ask themselves is... Is America worth the effort?

I passionately love the America I've discovered researching it's heritage and past... I mourn that our people are so ignorant of what is being destroyed and have never truly tasted the LIBERTY that our Constitution provides for us by limiting the power and scope of government. I hope that I've passed on just a little of that passion to all of you; it will truly add meaning to my life.
